Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are Engaged

UPDATE:
It's true, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are engaged! From The Associated Press:
Pitt's manager confirmed the news to The Associated Press in an email Friday.
Cynthia Pett-Dante said that there isn't a wedding date "at this time." She also said that the engagement "is a promise for the future."
PREVIOUSLY:
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are engagedThe Hollywood Reporter reports. After years of wedding and engagement rumors, it looks like one of Hollywood's biggest power couples might be walking down the aisle.
"I can confirm that, yes, Robert Procop did indeed design an engagement ring for Angelina Jolie, designed in collaboration with Brad Pitt," a rep for the Beverly Hills jeweler told THR.
There's no word from the couple's reps, but Jolie was spotted wearing a ring at a private event at Los Angeles County Museum of Art's Chinese Gallerie this week, adding more fuel to the engagement fire.
If Pitt and Jolie do decide to take the marriage leap, it's a long time coming for the couple, who first got together after starring in 2005's "Mr. and Mrs. Smith." They have six children together, who have reportedly been asking for their parents to tie the knot.
"They figured out what marriage is now, they're old enough so now they kind of like the idea of it," Jolie told "Extra" in February. "But we're still convinced that half of them just want to party. They've heard there's good cake."

American Idol Shocking Elimination Result

I really can't get over with this American Idol Elimination Result. This is a case of looks vs. talent, I wont be surprise if Philip Philips or Colton Dixon will win this season, I mean, they can sing but Jessica is exceptional.

Jessica Sanchez a Filipino Mexican, has the most incredible and beautiful voice  at a tender age of 16 in this whole competition, and the Judges namely Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson made the right decision to save her from being eliminated.  I think America is not yet ready for an Asian to be the next Idol.

On the other hand, the judges reacted way too far, they even go down the stage to do some drama by just saying that Jessica is saved which I think is unfair for the other contestants, that can also be misunderstood as an act of favoritism.

Jessica Sanchez has another week to prove herself and America should vote wisely for the real talent and not just for another pretty face.

Earthquake Attack

Gulf Of California Earthquake

(CNN) -- A pair of strong earthquakes rocked Mexico's Gulf of California only minutes apart early Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported. The quakes -- magnitude 6.9 and 6.2 -- were centered about 85 miles northeast of Guerrero Negro in the Mexican state of Baja California, or 325 miles south-southwest of Phoenix in the United States. Both epicenters were shallow, a little more than six miles underground. No tsunami warnings were issued and there were no immediate reports of damage, but people as far north as Tucson, Arizona, reported feeling them. The temblors were recorded at 12:16 a.m. and 12:06 a.m. local time (3:16 a.m. and 3;06 a.m. ET).

Earthquake in Indonesia

An earthquake with a magnitude of 8.7 has struck under the sea in Indonesia triggering a tsunami warning across the Indian Ocean region.
On Boxing Day in 2004 a giant 9.1-magnitude quake in the same area triggered a tsunami that killed 230,000 people.
The quake hit 308 miles from the provincial capital of Banda Aceh and triggered widespread panic as residents along coastlines fled to high ground in cars and on the backs of motorcycles.
Some were crying. Others screamed "God as great" as they poured from their homes.
The quake struck as Prime Minister David Cameron arrived in Jakarta, Indonesia for the latest leg of his South East Asia trade mission.
The PM is 1,600 miles south-east of the province and on a different island, Java.
Within an hour of the first quake Indonesia's geophysics agency said that an aftershock with a magnitude of 8.8 on the Richter scale was felt in Aceh, prompting a new tsunami warning to be issued.
One witness told Reuters that he had watched as the sea at Simeulue Island near the epicentre of the first quake receded by about 10 metres.
A spokesman for Indonesia's Meteorology and Geophysics Agency, said a tsunami warning has been issued for cities all along the coast of Sumatra island.
There was chaos in the streets, with fierce shaking continuing for nearly four minutes.
Timbang Pangaribuan told El Shinta radio from the city of Medan: "I was in the shower on the fifth floor of my hotel.
"We all ran out. ... We're all standing outside now."
He said one guest was injured when he jumped from the window of his room.
The tremor was felt in Singapore, Thailand, Bangladesh, Malaysia and India. High-rise apartments and offices on Malaysia's west coast shook for at least a minute.

North Korea rocket has failed

(Reuters) - North Korea's much hyped long-range rocket launch on Friday ended in apparent failure, South Korean officials said, dealing a blow to the prestige of the reclusive and impoverished state that defied international pressure to push ahead with the plan.

North Korea said it wanted the Unha-3 rocket to put a weather satellite into orbit, although critics believed it was designed to enhance the capacity of North Korea to design a ballistic missile deliver a nuclear warhead capable of hitting the continental United States.

A spokesman for the Defense Ministry in Seoul told journalists that the rocket had broken up and crashed into the sea a few minutes after launch.

Officials from Japan confirmed the mission had failed, while ABC News cited U.S. officials saying it had failed, although there was no immediate indication of where it fell.

The rocket's flight was set to take it over a sea separating the Korean peninsula, with an eventual launch of a third stage of the rocket in seas near the Philippines that would have put the satellite into orbit.

This was North Korea's second consecutive failure to get a satellite into orbit, although it claimed success with a 2009 launch and there was no comment on the launch from North Korea's official media.

The Unha-3 rocket took off from a new launch site on the west coast of North Korea, near the Chinese border.

The launch had been timed to coincide with the 100th birthday celebrations of the isolated and impoverished state's founder, Kim Il-sung, and came after a food aid deal with the United States had hinted at an easing of tensions on the world's most militarized border.

The failed launch of the North Korea rocket made buzz all over the internet especially the micro blogging site Twitter. here are some of the comments.

I feel kinda bad for the people who hosted those North Korea missile launch viewing parties. Bummer.

Still no word rationale from  Korea "North Korea rocket breaks up after much touted launch"

Justin Stangel  @Justin_Stangel
It's a good thing North Korea censors the internet or they’d realize the long range rocket test was a failure

Jason Davis  @astrosaur_u
No matter the political stance on North Korea, there's something sad about hearing a rocket split into 4 pieces a minute into flight.

People will be killed for this!  launches a rocket, reports suggest it broke up shortly after launch.

Lamar Odom Officially Leaves Dallas Mavericks

Lamar Odom is officially done with the Dallas Mavericks.

The NBA star released a statement  saying that he will “step away from the team” effective immediately.

He added, “I’m sorry that things didn’t work out better for both of us, but I wish the Mavs’ organization, my teammates and Dallas fans nothing but continued success in the defense of their championship.”

Odom was said to be demoted from the NBA to play for the Texas Legends. He will be listed as “inactive” for the rest of the season and could later be traded.

He lost his concentration when he entered show business and became a Reality star. I watch him play and he is good when he is still in the Lakers, whenever Kobe Bryant is out, he is one of the players  that makes points for the team. It's Obvious that his heart is in LA and he really don't want to play for Dallas. It's so sad that his career in Basketball is going crazy, I mean he is 32, he's not getting any younger. He should do something before his career will be over.
