Miss Universe Canada rejects transgender contestant

She is Beautiful, Tall, Intelligent, Hot, and perfect to become the next Ms. Canada, but the Big hindrance is, she is a Transgender, she was born Male.

Jenna Talackova, 23, was thrown out of the competition after it emerged that she had undergone a sex-change operation, despite having successfully reached the finals in the Miss Vancouver pageant. She began hormone therapy when she was 14, and underwent surgical reassignment five years later.

the rules of the competition were very clear in that the contestants must be a “naturally born female.” The Organizers of Ms. Canada suspected that Ms. Talackova was not born a woman, which she later confirmed.

“I’m disqualified, however I’m not giving up,” Ms Talackova tweeted, though she later locked her Twitter account. “I’m not going to just let them disqualify me over discrimination,” she added.

There is a proper pageant for a trangender like Jenna Talackova, It's not good to see that the next Ms. Canada has been a male. It's not fair for the other contestants who are naturally born female.

Lindsay Lohan put herself to house arrest..

Actress Lindsay Lohan is once again under house arrest but this time it is a self-imposed house arrest as she awaits the end of her probationary period.
According to insiders Lohan decided to avoid any further trouble to ensure that the last two weeks of her court ordered probation has expired without further complications
The decision comes after a club visitor accused Lohan of hitting him with her car and then fleeing the scene of the accident during the early morning hours this past Thursday.
In the meantime several eyewitnesses claim that the man Lohan struck was only grazed and didn’t appear to be injured however after finding out Lindsay Lohan hit him the man made a beeline for the emergency room.
Lohan’s lawyer responded to the charges with the following statement:

“At no point was there ever any indication that her car hit anyone or anything. We are confident this matter will be cleared up in the next few days.”

It’s likely that Lohan didn’t come to this decision on her own, sources close to the actress say her friends, family and business partners have been begging her to avoid the nightlife until her probationary period has come and gone.
Lohan plans to only leave her house when she’s attending her court ordered community service at the city morgue and when she’s needed at business related meetings.
Lohan’s probationary perios is scheduled to end March 29.
Do you think that Lindsay Lohan can stay out of trouble if she simply chooses not to leave her home for the next two weeks?

The worst and most stupid film.

The worst Film I've ever watched...

So far, this is the worst and dirtiest movie I have ever watched. The killer is a small and fat man and he is definitely a Psycho. The victims don't even fight back when the killer attacks, they are even stronger, taller and tougher compared to the killer. In the end, the director don't even gave justice to all the people who died. I'm expecting that police will rescue the victims since one of the victims escaped, but the killer lives on. Watch this movie and see for yourself. I regret watching this, and I heard there is another installment coming out, and I will definitely won't watch it.

                                                             The most Stupid film ever...

This movie is about three friends caught up in the middle of an ATM booth, they can't go out because there is a killer outside. The stupid thing is, they have so many chances to escape from this killer and they all missed it. The killer went from behind of the ATM booth and stayed there for like 5 or 10 minutes.. they can just run like hell out!. I will forgive the director if he lock up the ATM booth so the three victims can't go out, but the door is open. It's all up to you guys to judge this film. But this is really stupid.

Tim Tebow.. The perfect role model

This week’s hottest athlete in America is also charity-friendliest, particularly to the Philippines.

Tim Tebow, the Bible-spreading quarterback of Denver Broncos, one of America’s 32 professional football teams, has announced that the foundation named after him and another non-for profit organization are teaming up to build a state-of-the-art, US$3-million hospital in Davao city.

The Tim Tebow Foundation based in Jacksonville, Florida and CURE International based in Lemoyne, Pennsylvania are going to break grounds for the proposed 30-bed hospital this January.

Joel Worrall, vice president of communications of Cure International, told this reporter in an email, “We do not have a specific date for the ground breaking nor do we know if Tim will be in attendance. The choice of Davao City is related to the number of factors, including need, spiritual makeup of the island, opportunity to build a sustainable operation in that city, and a number of historical factors in the project.” The hospital is expected to open in mid-2013.

This reporter was alerted of the proposed hospital construction by an article, “Tim Tebow and CURE building children’s hospital in the Philippines,” (http://blog.godreports.com/2011/12/tim-tebow-and-cure-building-children’s-hospital-in-philippines/), written by Mr. Mark Ellis of Godreports.

According to the Tim Tebow Foundation (www.timtebowfoundation.org), its partnership with CURE International (www.cure.org/timtebow) will attempt to fulfill its mission to “bring faith, hope, and love to those needing a brighter day, and this partnership will directly benefit children throughout the developing world who suffer from treatable physical disabilities. CURE International, which exists to provide both physical and spiritual healing, operates programs and hospitals in 20 countries and has performed more than 121,000 surgeries in its 14-year history.”

BORN IN MAKATI CITY

“I am truly excited about this partnership with CURE International,” said Tebow. “When I learned about what CURE does and how intentional the organization is about sharing the gospel and healing children, I knew it would be a great partnership.”

“Tim’s passion for sharing his faith and making a difference in the lives of people around the world is a natural fit with CURE,” said Dr. Scott Harrison, President and Founder of CURE International. “It is a blessing for us to partner with someone of Tim’s caliber and integrity. Through this partnership, many children will receive the healing they so desperately need.”

Tebow’s choice of building children’s hospital in the Philippines comes as no surprise as he was born in Makati City in the Philippines, where his parents were missionaries.

The Tebow CURE Hospital in Davao City will be a surgical facility, focusing primarily on orthopedics.

“I was born in the Philippines, and my parents have been missionaries to that area since 1985. The Philippines have always had a special place in my heart,” Tebow said. “I’m excited to be a part of this hospital that will bring healing to thousands of children who would not otherwise have access to care.”

The hospital, which is CURE’s first in the Philippines, will be 12th worldwide.

“Throughout the world, 80 million children suffer every day with crippling conditions like clubfoot and spinal deformities, conditions that are correctable with surgery,” said Dr. Scott Harrison, the founder and president of CURE International. “We feel blessed that the Tim Tebow Foundation has chosen to partner with us to bring first-world quality care and spiritual healing to the children of the Philippines.”

The hospital will house a Timmy’s Playroom, which will provide faith, hope, and love to children before and after their surgeries. It will be the Tim Tebow Foundation’s first international playroom.

“TIM TEBOWING” GAINS BELIEVERS AND AMUSEMENTS

The 6-foot-3-inch, 236-pound Tebow captured the attention of football fans, when he won for the University of Florida (UF) the Heisman Trophy as the most outstanding college football player in the United States. He also became known for kneeling and thanking Jesus Christ on the football field after each win, called “Tim Tebowing.” While the gesture endeared him to many Americans, it has also become a source of amusements for others.

Tebow’s come-from-behind victories have inspired Texas Gov. Rick Perry to “be the Tim Tebow of the Iowa caucuses.” And televangelist Pat Robertson calls Tebow as a “role model to be celebrated. The fact that he prays and seeks God, I think, we ought to applaud him. Does disaster have to strike for people to acknowledge God?”

When HBO’s Bill Maher criticized Tebow’s sub-par performance against Buffalo Bills last December, upset fans called for a mass cancellation of HBO subscriptions over the atheist’s offensive tweets.

While still undergraduate, Tebow launched “First and 15” (his jersey number) under the auspices of the Office of Student Government and with the NCAA approval to mobilize hundreds of students on campus and UF boosters for a number of important charities. It raised funds for Uncle Dick’s Orphanage in the Philippines and Shands Hospital pediatric cancer center in Gainsville. Upon finishing his four years as a collegiate athlete, he immediately launched the Tim Tebow Foundation in January 2010.

Tebow showed his fondness for Bible, by scribbling Bible chapters and verses in his eye black during football games. His favorite is “Phil 4:8-9,” which is about Paul’s letter to the Church in Philippians 4:8-9, which says, "whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy – meditate on these things... and the God of peace will be with you." Eye blacks are dark pigments that reduce sun glare.

His other favorite is John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

The 24-year-old lefthander and homeschooled, who admitted that he is still a virgin, threw an 80-yard touchdown pass to Demaryius Thomas on the first play of overtime last Sunday (Jan. 8) that stunned the Pittsburg Steelers 29-23 in the AFC (American Football Conference) wild-card game that gave the Broncos quarterback 316 passing yards for the game and a playoff record 31.6 yards per completion, giving some observers fits that there was some divine intervention in the game. Tebow wore the numbers on his eye black during the 2009 BCS title game when he was at Florida.

Today. fans will again be anticipating to see signs when Tebow’s Broco's face the heavy favorite New England Patriots. (lariosa_jos@sbcglobal.net)

Charice new look

International singing sensation Charice shocks everyone with her new found look. In a press conference the 19 year old explains why she made a decision to change her look.

“Yung ibang people sa management, gusto nila yung look ko parang Selena Gomez. The other one, they want me to be more like Avril Lavigne, which is what I like. Or more like Rihanna. That’s what I like. That’s what we’re trying to do. I think everybody’s shocked. This is such a huge step for me and I love it. This is me. This is who I am. I just don’t want to stay a person that I don’t like… I’ve been thinking about it for years and years. This is a dream come true for me,”

And the tattoo that says Love Eternally with an infinity sign in the middle

“The tattoo that I have has a meaning. The tattoo says ‘love eternally’ and it has an infinity sign. It’s for my love for people, for my fans and for my family, for everybody. So, every time I do something I always have reason,”

With her new make over, her haters and critics are saying that she look like a lesbian which she fearfully defend.

“Are you kidding me? I’ve read tons of negativecomments and I don’t care. Whatever they think maybe if I look somebody or whoever I don’t mind. I mean this is the look that I want. So, the only thing you can do is to move on,”

As for me, she is still young and she has the right to re invent herself, she is just enjoying herself by exploring and trying something new, give her a break for all the haters what is important is she is bringing honors to our country Philippines.

Remembering Japan Killer Earthquake and Tsunami

This town of 40,000 on the north-east coast of Japan was the first place where the tsunami reached land, and many in the crowd visibly blanched, their eyes wet with tears, as the wail of the alarm transported them back to that day.

At least 440 people died and a quarter of the town's buildings were destroyed as the wave, funnelled into the tight V-shaped bay, rushed almost two miles inland, growing to a height of 77ft.

"When we heard the warning, we did what we had been drilled to do: we headed for the primary school, our evacuation centre," said Murakami Hitoe, 60. "But when we saw the wave, it looked very big. So we quickly decided to run up to the temple, the Hanzo-ji. That is what saved us," she said. Looking back, we feel a mixture of relief and anguish. We lost our house, but others lost a lot more."

On Sunday, less fortunate families gathered to bid their dead a final farewell. They queued along the water's edge to strike a cast iron bell, burn three pinches of powdered incense, and clasp their hands together in silent prayer.

Kawahara Kazunori, 74, lost his sister, Noriko. "We were very close, she was just a year younger than me," he said, bowing to a small memorial where she used to live. "We managed to survive the [Second World] War together when life was truly hard. I thought we would survive this too.¡± Her house lay more than a mile inland; she thought she was safe and did not run.

Throughout the region devastated by the tsunami, only 58 per cent of the population evacuated when they heard the sirens, according to a government survey.

In the days before the earthquake, there had been a series of smaller foreshocks, including one that measured magnitude 7.2. In turn, Japan¡¯s meteorological office had issued tsunami alerts, all of which had proved false. By the time the earthquake struck, some had begun to disregard the warnings.

Others simply decided that the wave would not affect them. In Ofunato, a brown stone marks the furthest point which a previous tsunami had reached in 1960. Over the years, the town came to regard anything built beyond the marker as safe. But last year's wave was twice as big.

Sato Tokiko, 48, lost her 74 year-old father, who had survived the 1960 tsunami and assumed his house was beyond the safety line. "My mother died two years before the tsunami," she said. "We think my father just wanted to be with her. He would not have wanted to leave her altar in the house."

When the wave struck, Japan's sophisticated set of offshore buoys, designed to measure the height of tsunamis, malfunctioned. The official alert dramatically understated the size of the wave, misleading many to think they would be safe.

Along the north-east coastline, 15,854 died in the disaster and 3,155 are classified as missing, either because their relatives are still searching for them, or because they do not have the paperwork to register the death. Police teams have pledged to keep searching for the dead, despite the hopelessness of the task.

In Ofunato, the day began with snow, a reminder that those who survived the disaster went on to struggle for weeks in the winter cold, many without heating or supplies.

But as the moment of the anniversary neared, the warming sun emerged from the clouds. After a series of speeches, mourners lay white lilies and chrysanthemums and silence fell, a palpable sense of sorrow rippling across the crowd.

And then: a collective exhalation, relief and perhaps a sense of closure. "For a lot of people this year has passed very quickly, like a bad dream," said Hashimoto Katsuo, a 74-year-old monk who has counselled the town and helped conduct an earlier memorial service.

"The mental anguish, including a feeling of guilt for surviving, is very deep. I know one man who lost his wife who was just a few feet away from him in the water. But we must try to be active, to communicate with each other, and search for happiness. That is how we will get over the terror of what has happened," he said.

As the ceremony ended, Buddhist monks chanted sutras and the crowd streamed to the docks to release prayers and paper cranes into the water. The bay was entirely calm, the water a deep cobalt blue.

The town's remaining eight boats were already out. They had sailed to where two of the fleet had capsized, drowning all on board.

"When we heard the alarm last year, we sailed straight out to sea," explained one fisherman, Watari Koichi, 58. "We made it past the wave before it got to shore and stayed out there for two days. But our friends never made it out of the bay."

The fleet only started fishing again two days ago, and it was the first chance for them to mark their friends' passing. "We circled the spot where they died three times, cut our engines, said a prayer and a final goodbye," said Kotsubo Teruo, another fisherman.

Ofunato's largest ship, the Mikasa Maru, then set sail for the mouth of the bay to complete the remembrance service. As part of the 'toro nagashi', a Buddhist memorial ritual, paper lanterns inscribed with prayers were floated onto the ocean.

Afterwards, in the late afternoon sunshine, as the town's residents slowly filtered away, there were smiles, some laughs, and a feeling that the dead had been properly honoured.

Boracay is a tropical island located approximately 315km (200 miles) south of Manila and 2km off the northwest tip of the island of Panay in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines. It is one of the country's most popular tourist destinations. Copacabana is a borough located in the southern zone of the city Rio de Janeiro, famous for its 4 km beach.

The district was originally called Sacopenapã until the mid-18th century. It was renamed after the construction of a chapel holding a replica of the Virgin of Copacabana, the patron saint of Bolivia. It was incorporated into the city on July 6, 1892.

Copacabana begins at Princesa Isabel Avenue and ends at Posto Seis (lifeguard watchtower Six) near the Forte de Copacabana (Fort Copacabana). Beyond Copacabana, there is the small Arpoador beach, followed by the famous borough of Ipanema.

According to Riotur, the Tourism Secretariat of Rio de Janeiro, there are 63 hotels and 10 hostels in Copacabana.

Surfers Paradise is a suburb on Australia's Gold Coast in Queensland. Colloquially known as 'Surfers', the suburb is famous for its many high-rise apartment buildings and wide surf beach. The central feature of theSurfers Paradise central business district is Cavill Mall, which runs through the centre of the main shopping precinct. Cavill Avenue, named after Jim Cavill, an early hotel owner, is one of the busiest shopping strips in Queensland, and is the centre of activity for night life and 'schoolies' trips.

Waikiki is a neighborhood of Honolulu, in the City & County of Honolulu, on the south shore of the island of Oahu, Hawaii. Waikiki Beach is the shoreline fronting Waikiki and one of the best known beaches in the world.

The neighborhood extends from the Ala Wai Canal (a channel dug to drain former wetlands) on the west and north, to Diamond Head on the east. The name means spouting fresh water in Hawaiian for springs and streams that fed wetlands that once separated Waikiki from the interior. Waikiki has long been a place of relaxation. In particular, the area was a retreat for Hawaiian royalty in the 1800s.

Today the neighborhood and beach are considered the center of the tourist industry in Hawaii, with an abundance of both high-rise resort hotels (including the Hilton Hawaiian Village, the Halekulani hotel, the Hyatt Regency Waikiki, and the Sheraton Waikiki) and historic hotels dating back to the early 20th century (such as the Moana Surfrider Hotel and the Royal Hawaiian Hotel).

As seen in the picture, Waikiki Beach is noted for its magnificent view of Diamond Head. The frequently visited tourist beach, easily accessible by an alley next to the Royal Hawaiian Hotel, is actually fairly short, with half of it marked off for surfers. For some distance into the ocean the water is quite shallow, although there are numerous rocks on the bottom, so waders should watch where they put their feet. As with most ocean beaches the waves can have some force, particularly on windy days.

The beach has had its problems with erosion, leading to the construction of groins and beach replenishment projects. For example, in the 1920s and 1930s sand was obtained from Manhattan Beach, California, and transported via ship and barges to Waikiki.

Since 2001, there have been free movies on the beach. Many tourists from around the world can view a movie on an outdoor 30 foot screen. This particular free movie event in Waikiki is called "Sunset on the Beach". Sunset on the Beach typically shows movies of no higher than a PG rating. Recently, they showed Enchanted.

Wreck Beach, Vancouver, Canada Vancouver isn’t an especially popular beach destination, but if you’re into people-watching, Wreck Beach is a must. Vancouver beaches aren’t especially nice, the water is quite cold, but Wreck Beach is special because it’s a nude beach. Accessible only through a trail from Pacific Spirit Park, the beach is such a popular spot that food concessions, tam-tam players and other buskers have found their summer home there.

South Beach is the section of Miami Beach, Florida that encompasses the southernmost 23 blocks of an island separating the Atlantic Ocean and Biscayne Bay. This area was the first section of Miami Beach to be developed, starting in the 1910s, thanks to the development efforts of Carl G. Fisher, the Lummus Brothers, John S. Collins, and others. The area has gone through numerous man-made and natural changes over the years, including a booming regional economy, increased tourism, and the 1926 hurricane that destroyed much of the area.

While this is perhaps the nicest Bahamas beach on Paradise Island, it can be difficult to access if you don't live on the island year round. Guests of the Atlantis Hotel have unlimited access to the beach, and portions are of course always open to locals. Little huts can be found all over the beach, which provide a place to change, eat, and get out of the sun here and there. If you are traveling to Paradise Island for the day, you may try one of the other beaches after attempting Paradise Beach.

Stop Kony

I want to share this video that is going viral over the internet about the children from Uganda being abducted to become soldiers and girls being held as sex slaves and Grisly killings for Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) that is led by Joseph Kony. This video aims to let the whole world know who is Joseph Kony, not make him famous but to make an awareness about his heinous acts. The group has been blamed for the murder of thousands of civilians in four countries, and the U.S. classifies it as a terrorist organization. A Twitter campaign targeting celebrities and influential figures took off last night using the hashtag #STOPKONY.

A Ugandan boy who goes by the name Ali Ali, sits in a hut and reveals the nearly-healed wounds inflicted as punishment for trying to escape from the Lords Resistance Army (LRA) rebels who had abducted him, at a center for victims of war in Gulu town, in Uganda's war-torn northern region, 285 miles north of the capital Kampala, Friday, March 20, 1998. Ali, who escaped from the rebels, had been one of the thousands of young Ugandans abducted and forced to fight alongside guerrillas of the LRA, a rebel group which operates from bases in neighboring Sudan. An Ugandan Red Cross worker distributes blankets to displaced people in a primary school in Lira, 230 miles (370 kms) north of Kampala, Friday, May 29, 1998. Some 10,000 people have fled attacks from the rebels of the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) to find shelter in Lira. The LRA, operating in small units, have managed to elude government troops, continuing their penetration deep into Uganda, and residents of Lira and Oririm fear the government is on the losing end of the insurgency. Egeland met with Kony, the elusive leader of Uganda's notorious rebel Lord's Resistance Army and one of the world's most-wanted war crimes suspects, seeking to secure the release of women and children enslaved by the group during their 20-year conflict with the Ugandan government. But Kony denied that his forces are holding prisoners. (AP)

We should put a stop on this by helping to spread this message. Post this on your Facebook wall or in your Twitter account to let your Family and Friends know about this Movement to Stop Joseph Kony. The LRA is reportedly fractured and weakened, however its leader Joseph Kony remains at large. I was moved when i watched the video, any child dont deserve to be treated that way. I felt really sad for those children in Uganda and I am really mad for these Group of People who did such heinous crimes.
